About Us

Our story started in 2011

Where our founder, Barnaby spent 14 months volunteering with a sustainable development charity in Ghana. He saw that lack of clean energy hindered community growth and returned to the UK to study renewable energy.

Why we exist

At Dream Renewables, we exist because we believe that young people in Ghana are key to driving long-term, locally rooted solutions to the climate and energy challenges facing their communities. We’ve seen how local communities can lead practical clean‑energy projects that transform lives. But three big hurdles still stand in the way.
