Dream Renewables is excited to announce a hands-on Solar-powered Irrigation Systems Training scheduled for February 2026 at Ohawu Agricultural College in the Volta Region.
This intensive one-week training programme is designed to equip participants with practical clean energy and solar irrigation skills that support climate-smart agriculture, improved food production, and sustainable livelihoods. Participants will gain hands-on experience designing, installing and maintaining solar-powered water pumping and irrigation systems for farms and rural communities. Scroll down for the details of the programme.
Solar Powered Drip Irrigation Systems

Electricity basics for solar water pumping
System components and sizing (panels, pumps, controllers, storage)
Solar irrigation system design principles
Installation of solar-powered irrigation systems
Operation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Health and safety when working with solar systems and water infrastructure
What the training includes
1-week intensive sessions covering theory and design principles
Hands-on practical training using real solar pumps, panels and irrigation system components
Group assignments and field demonstrations
Exposure to real-world applications of solar irrigation in agriculture
