Dream Renewables Issues Call for Proposals for Solar Community Energy Projects.
Installed solar system at Bompasso
Dream Renewables is inviting applications for solar energy projects that improve access to power, water and digital infrastructure in communities, schools, health facilities and other local institutions. The focus is on communities that do not have access to electricity or that have frequent power outages “light off” which holds back community development.
The initiative aims to identify communities, schools and health facilities facing infrastructure challenges that can be solved through local renewable energy solutions such as solar.
Through this application process, Dream Renewables aims to provide a transparent, structured platform for communities and institutions to submit requests based on the most pressing problems they want to solve. Applications will be evaluated based on the following:
1. The number of people who will benefit from the project, and in what ways?
2. The level of active engagement from community stakeholders
3. The community's commitment to long term sustainability after the initial installation.
4. The technical and social feasibility of the project. Our overall goal is to direct resources to where they create lasting impact.
Applications are invited for:
• Solar power systems for CHPS compounds and other health facilities
• Solar-powered ICT laboratories for schools and training centres
• Solar-powered water systems, including boreholes and pumping solutions
• Other community infrastructure using solar energy to improve essential services
