Our annual report for the 2023/24 financial year has been released. The year was focused on building a strong foundation that will enable us to scale up our work and projects, collaborate with other NGOs and become more financially sustainable. We registered as a Non-Profit Organisation in
Ghana, welcomed a fantastic board of Ghanaian Trustees, purchased a vehicle, improved our training centre and grew our team. We were also busy delivering projects, too! And we couldn't have done this without supporters like you.
What We Achieved Together
Trained over 165 people in solar power systems across three regions of Ghana.
Facilitated 15 internship opportunities through industry partners for our trainees.
Installed 10 solar irrigation systems for smallholding farmers.
We started our clean cooking research and advocacy project to understand the behavioural patterns and attitudes toward new cooking technology. We reached 300 households and roadside sellers in Barekese.
Registered officially as a Non-Profit Organisation in Ghana. This fantastic news means we can now apply for grant funding in Ghana.
Established a wonderful board of trustees in Ghana, to steer the organisation with expert guidance.
This report covers the period that ended in April 24, and we've made a huge impact since then, thanks to your ongoing belief and support in our mission. Looking ahead, we have exciting plans on the horizon, including the launch of a new Community Solar Fund.

A New Community Solar Fund
At Dream Renewables, we empower individuals across Ghana with solar power skills, supporting projects that benefit local communities. Until now, we've had to fundraise for each project individually. With your support, our new Community Solar Fund will:
Put power into the hands of Ghanaian energy and development experts
Ensure we respond quickly when new communities need solar power
Ensure the projects that need it most will have access to readily available funding
Thanks to the Big Give Green Match Fund, we have a huge opportunity. The Green Match Fund is a matched giving campaign, that enables supporters to have their donations matched 1:1 by a private funder. This means any donations you offer to our campaign throughout that week will be automatically doubled, and we can get our community solar fund off the ground!
