We are thrilled to announce the successful completion and handover of a lifesaving solar power system at the Jantuakrom Community Health Clinic! This system, handed over in February 2025, is already transforming healthcare for over 10,000 people in this rural, off-grid farming community. With reliable, clean energy now powering the clinic day and night, nurses can safely store vaccines, deliver babies under proper lighting, and provide essential care around the clock.
All this was made possible thanks to numerous generous donations from people on this mailing list and support from the Big Give, which matched every donation pound for pound.

The solar power system we installed alongside local electricians we trained
Built for Lasting Impact
To ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the project, Dream Renewables focused on building local capacity and fostering community ownership at every stage. Twelve local electricians were trained through a hands-on solar training program, equipping them with the skills needed to maintain and troubleshoot the system for years to come. A local steering committee was established to oversee the project, encourage community buy-in, and act as a bridge between the clinic, residents, and technical teams. In close collaboration with the Health Directorate, Dream Renewables also helped set up a dedicated maintenance fund, with monthly contributions from the community, guaranteeing that the solar system will continue to deliver reliable power and healthcare benefits well into the future.
